Amelia Brownridge

ameliabrownridge@mail.utoronto.ca
Amelia is a SSHRC funded MA student, who will be pursuing PhD studies in the coming fall. Her research centralizes prophetic responses to the capture of the Second Temple in Jerusalem. She explores how notions of the feminine are strategically employed as a literary imaginary through which collective suffering experienced in exile is expressed, and the memory of the post-exilic community is shaped. Amelia is passionate about storytelling as a means for self-representation, human connectivity, and agentive healing and believes that the Re:Locations Journal offers a safe and creative platform for a diversity of narrative expressions.
