Re:Locations welcomes submissions for both the scholarly journal and online academic forum.
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
Re:Locations: Journal of the Asia Pacific World (ISSN 2562-9972) is an interdisciplinary peer-reviewed journal that invites critical engagement with ideas that shape social, spatial, cultural and political dialogues. With the regions of Asia and the Pacific as a backdrop, Re:Locations seeks to foster dialogue among scholars who engage with ideas such as territoriality, mobility, and identity within and across borders. The journal aims to promote interdisciplinary debates in international relations, art and culture, geography, political science, and a wide range of other related fields. The goal of this journal is to promote scholarship that challenges the boundaries of disciplines, area studies, scholarly formats, theory, methodologies, geographies, and scales.
Examples include, but are not limited to, research into:
• critical engagement with geopolitics;
• politics of spatiality, networks, and scale;
• feminist, queer, and postcolonial interventions;
• intersections of political economy and political geography;
• political ecology, the politics of the environment, and post-human politics.
We invite the submission of full-length papers (8,000 words max), in addition to shorter, responsive, and topical editorials and interventions, book reviews, field notes, photo essays, poetry, and visual art.
Deadline: January 31st.
